About Us
Origin
Subject of the foundation:
The BRUKER Foundation, based in Bietigheim-Bissingen, was established on June 17, 2015 through the foundation deed of the joint founders Hans-Peter Bruker and Karin Bruker. The foundation deed describes the merger of the trust foundations BRUKER Foundation and EUWAX Foundation, which were founded on June 27, 2007 with the trustee Schaudt Rechtsanwälte GbR, Haußmannstr. 58, 70188 Stuttgart, with an original capital of EUR 3,960,000, consisting of 75,000 shares of EUWAX AG, Stuttgart, founded by the founder. The approval of the now legally recognized BRUKER Foundation by the Stuttgart Regional Council took place on June 26, 2015.
Motivation of the founders:
It is the founders' stated aim to promote cultural life and to contribute to the preservation of existing and development of new facilities of cultural value. This can be done through material donations and spiritual or personal support. Sport is an important part of culture. It is intended to convey joy, relaxation and conviviality; it can shape character and personality, as well as promote and maintain health and well-being. Its educational, social, integrative, political and economic aspects, as well as its important influence on prevention and health promotion, give sport an important socio-political significance. The foundation is intended to support projects and people in particular that are not supported by public institutions or associations.
Aktienvermögen dank Stifterwille:
The foundation's initial capital was formed by a stake of 75,000 shares in EUWAX AG worth around 3,980,000 euros. EUWAX AG, founded by the founder Hans-Peter Bruker, is a company with the vision that professional stockbrokers use their know-how to ensure just and fair stock market pricing and that the stock market, as an important component of the social market economy, can only function in the long term if all investors have equal access to the capital market. The idea of solidarity and equal opportunities for all is the link to this foundation. The contribution of EUWAX shares is intended to ensure that the successes from the world of money will also contribute to the promotion of cultural coexistence in the long term in the sense of the binding social responsibility of people who have achieved prosperity. The assets of the BRUKER Foundation are now largely invested in shares of international companies or corresponding funds at the express request of the founder Hans-Peter Bruker. This made it possible to achieve an increase in assets of EUR 3 million between the foundation's inception in 2007 and 2024, despite mostly negative real interest rates, of which almost EUR 2 million went into donations and self-developed projects in accordance with the foundation's purpose.
Minimizing costs thanks to volunteering:
All people on the board and foundation board work entirely on a voluntary basis. The administrative costs are less than 1 percent of the foundation's assets. The only cost factor are the fees for banking services for asset management.
